How It Works

SENTENCE CONSTRUCTION
The words "I see" are usually helpful to commence simple sentence construction. Introduce these words with a recognised noun e.g. boy, bike etc... Don't worry about the word "the" at this time as we are building up sentences in a simple uncomplicated way. As a learner becomes more confident introduce new words and adjectives, e.g. I see blue bike.

The pupil achieved the complicated process of recognising, decoding and reading sentences. Comprehension can be checked by jumbling up the words in a sentence for the pupils to replace in the correct order. The child is usually delighted to show off their developing reading skills to an adult.
